Christel has advanced knitting to an international business. She exports both patterns and knitted pieces to the whole world. “The United States is a market which is growing,” she says “But I also collaborate with Australia, Japan, Israel and many countries within Europe, Greenland and yes, even Spain and Italy. I have no idea how they have discovered or heard about my work.”

In addition to knitting she organises, together with her husband, Fanø Knitting Festival which welcomes 10 to 15,000 participants yearly.

She is inspired by Fanø folk costumes, music and dance. She says that these traditions, patterns and colours encompass the meaning behind her designs.

This exhibition has a colourful splendour rarely seen!

Duodu will present their new collection for 2020, inspired by Marrokko – the land of jewels.

Vi are thrilled to present this unique exhibition within the historical setting of Bårdhaug’s Manor House from 1904.

The collection will be set among the interior of the manor house and the first owner’s connection to Africa. This will be a completely special exhibition participants can look forward to experiencing.

Access will be allowed to participants holding festival tickets. (Tickets can also be purchased at the information desk within the Manor House Hotel)
